Bovis Lend Lease

One of Britain’s oldest building companies; Bovis Lend Lease was founded by Charles William Bovis in Marylebone, London in 1885.  Today it’s a global business, ranked among the world’s top ten construction and project companies with 7,000 staff and £20 billion plus of projects in 40 countries.

The early years saw Bovis building some of London’s first cinemas and many of the large stores and smaller shops that still occupy the east side of London’s Regent Street.  This retail experience was put to good use when Bovis started working for Marks & Spencer in 1926.
