- Selective and pro-active in relationships with government

LEADERSHIP
To maximise influence on key decision-makers and exercise an authoritative voice on behalf of all stakeholders
- Lead and enhance value of Strategic Forum and similar pan-industry bodies
- Be the unified voice of professionals in the built environment
- Facilitate industry leadership of public policy initiatives
- Maintain clear and effective succession processes for leadership
INTEGRATION
To work towards an integrated industry
- Promote and seek adoption of 2012 Construction Commitments
- Be representative of an integrated industry
- Promote and enhance regional integration
- Lead multi-disciplinary project work
COMMUNICATION
To improve communications with and between members and to all stakeholders
- Build a media strategy
- Give simple, clear guidance about CIC and its core values
- Continue to build brand
- Develop events for members related to the core issues
PEOPLE
To raise awareness of career opportunities, training and skills development needs
- Support policies to recruit and retain enough good people
- Give positive message about careers opportunities
- Communicate skills needs
- Engage with employers
MEMBERSHIP
To welcome members that share these values and priorities
- Establish new membership colleges
- Increase membership and aim for 100% retention
- Leave territorial scope open-ended
- Develop Affiliate membership
