ConstructionSkills
The Construction Industry Council’s role in ConstructionSkills
The Construction Industry Council’s role within the ConstructionSkills partnership is to develop and deliver products and services to help improve industry performance and be recognised as the primary pan-industry authority for professionals. Working with ConstructionSkills partners, CIC seeks to engage and influence key stakeholders in supporting the skill development of the professional services sector.
ConstructionSkills had been tasked with carrying out a detailed analysis of the future skills and productivity needs for employers within their sector. This has led to the drawing up a ‘compact’ Sector Skills Agreement with suppliers of education and training to guarantee that these are delivered. The Sector Skills Agreements has put in place a framework which allows employers across the UK to sign up to a key set of priorities with organisations that fund and supply education and training.
