Economic and Policy Forum

The Public Affairs Panel of the Construction Industry Council has set up the Economic and Policy Forum to update our members on developments as they affect the construction industry.

This body under the chairmanship of Nick Raynsford MP and deputy chair Simon Rawlinson brings expert speakers from construction forecasting bodies, academia, the Bank of England, the civil service and specialist consultancies to examine economic issues and trends within the construction industry, particularly as they affect the construction professions.

Infrastructure investment, the school-building programme, Local Enterprise Partnerships, the new Green Deal and the implications of the Localism Bill are all topics which have been covered to date.
