Health and Safety

The CIC health and safety panel provides a forum for health and safety representatives from CIC’s members to meet, shape policy, discuss initiatives and develop responses on behalf of CIC. Membership of the panel includes the major chartered institutions, APS, ACE, ICW, IStructE and HSE.

Under the chairmanship of Peter Caplehorn, the panel meets to take part in consultations on behalf of CIC.

The panel also oversees on-going operational matters in the health and safety arena and it also forms a bridge with other bodies such as the Construction Industry Advisory Committee (CONIAC). A representative of the panel reports regularly on CONIAC activity.
