Knowledge Management Task Group
The remit of the Task Group will be to draw up a plan which would enable members of CIC to tackle some of the issues facing society that require a multi-disciplinary approach for their effective resolution and examine how CIC ’s role could be extended to provide a service to its member institutions to achieve this.
CIC’s members hold a wealth of knowledge and expertise and CIC wish to promote cross fertilization of these ideas between the different professions.
Construction Knowledge Bank
We invite member institutions to use this opportunity to share interesting work or published articles that they have been involved in over the last twelve months.
We have suggested the following knowledge areas but please feel free to add new themes.
- sustainability/combating climate change
- planning and urbanism
- healthcare
- education
- housing
- conservation and existing buildings
This would enable the participating institutions to:
- bring together individuals from within the breadth and depth of the institutions’ memberships, with relevant expertise in different disciplines in a collaborative framework;
- develop new solutions and/or guidance, over and above that which can be obtained by mono-disciplinary approaches;
- promote the outcomes, enabling actions to be taken by relevant bodies, using soundly sourced data and carefully considered conclusions;
- use the material generated to enhance the body of knowledge held by each institution for the benefit of its members and of society at large.
Contribution is easy, just go to the link http://cic.wetpaint.com/ check out the pages via the ‘Navigation’ panel below the CIC Logo then if you feel able to add some knowledge.
