CIC East

Formed in 2001, CIC East has grown significantly from a core group of professional bodies working together into an active body with broad, pan-industry interests. The Executive Committee currently meets four times per year in the East Region.

CIC East also generated a number sub-committees – Education, i10 (higher education) and Sustainable Construction. The Sustainable Construction sub-committee evolved into Sustainable Built Environment East (SBEE), an independent committee which maintains strong links with CIC East.

Leadership talks have been introduced in addition to the healthy schedule of events and seminars.

Key Objectives

  1.  Create an influential voice for the built environment with the regional development agency and other government bodies.
  2.  Develop links between built environment organisations in the region.
  3.  Provide a regional platform for built environment initiatives and CPD provision.
  4.  Promote sustainability within the region.
  5.  Coordinate school liaison and careers education between partners within the region.
