CIC Members Workshop: Building Regulations Consultation Workshop – March, 6 2012 from 2pm – 5pm
The CLG consultation on the Building Regulations(http://www.cic.org.uk/activities/consult.shtml) contains major proposals to change technical aspects as well as the system of building control. all construction professionals have a vital interest in these measures and members of the Construction Industry Council (CIC) are urged to contribute to the consultation which closes in two stages.
March 27 is the deadline for responses in respect to Section Two of the consultation while April 27 is the deadline in respect to the other three sections.
CIC is formulating a joint response to this consultation and in order for you to assist us in the preparation of this response we are holding a workshop on Tuesday, 6 March 2012 from 2.00 – 5.00 pm in the Building Centre. This workshop will feature expert speakers who will provide guidance on the new proposals and members can then provide input in relation to the questions within the consultation document.
A more detailed agenda will be issued nearer the time and please do let me know if you or a technical representative from your organisation who can provide input into the consultation would like to attend.
