The event is being held to help improve standards, practices, welfare and wellbeing across the construction industry. It will explain common reasons for failed health and safety inspections and highlight examples of best practice. It will explore imminent updates to legislation, and concentrate on embedding world class safety across the lifecycle of a project – highlighting significant innovation in technology, skills and BIM.

The programme is still being finalised, but will include examples of planning and best practice from some of the largest infrastructure projects including;

  • Iain Graham, Head of Industrial Safety, EDF Energy – Project Hinkley Point C
  • Lawrence Waterman OBE, Head of Health and safety, Battersea Power Station (Previously London 2012)
  • Steve Hails, Director Health and Safety, Crossrail
  • Dame Professor Carol Black will present a keynote on wellbeing with the construction industry
