Design Risk Management - Principles and Practice Online Workshop

This event has finished

IIRSM is running an interactive online workshop which will help delegates with the move from paper-based risk assessment techniques to a collaborative team-based approach.

Levels of understanding amongst clients, designers and contractors about the way the CDM regulations should be delivered are still variable. Implementing a collaborative risk management strategy as early as possible in the design process is the key. This course will give you all you need to set the process in place at an early stage.

The course will equip those involved at all levels to understand the theory and principles relating to CDM as well as a ‘strategic analysis’ approach to projects.

Using a highly interactive approach, delegates will have the opportunity to discuss the key issues, as they relate to their own experience, and work on real-life scenarios in small teams, enabling them to apply their learning immediately to current as well as future projects.

Delivered over two 120 minute sessions on two consecutive days, the programme covers the theory and principles relating to CDM, changes and implications, how to apply a strategic analysis approach to delegate projects, and includes client responsibilities. Templates to help with implementation are included.

The course is delivered by Tony Putsman BSc.(Hons), MICE, CEng, ICE; Paul Bussey FIIRSM, Senior Technical Consultant at AHMM Ltd and Stephen Coppin (Steve Coppin) MSc, BEng (Hons), FIIRSM, FCIOB, CFIOSH, FaPS, CIWFM, PIEMA, MCMI, MILM. Tony Putsman and Paul Bussey are both longstanding members of CIC's Health & Safety Committee.

Prices:
£125.00 + VAT (IIRSM members)
