Dr. Graham Smith will present an overview of the proposed Manchester Airport Transformation Programme and Finsbury Park Station redevelopments. Both projects posed significant challenges for the fire safety design that were solved by collaborative working and engineering good practice.
Graham has worked for Jacobs UK Ltd for 15 years and has gained a Ph.D in fire safety engineering. He has experience of the early planning and development stages of major projects in the UK and overseas in the Transport and Power sectors.
Major power clients include Sellafield Ltd., EDF Energy, E-ON, 2OC and Sadara (Saudi Arabia). Major transportation clients include London Underground, Network Rail, Doha Metro, Dublin Metro, Railcorp (Australia), and airport authorities at Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted.
