What is Green Sky Thinking Week?
Green Sky Thinking is a week long programme of sustainbility-focused events, organised by Open-City. Unlike conferences or tradeshows the events are informal, on-site or live project talks, tours, seminars, and roundtable discussions, thereby offering an independant and direct platform from which to showcase actual best practice and thinking.
The initiative supports sustainable solutions by enabling the industry and its clients to:
•find out about sustainable and retrofit solutions that really work and visit specific live examples
•talk face-to-face with top experts and key individuals who are responsible for designing, delivering and managing successful schemes
•understand the latest innovations, policy & thinking and how these translate into practice
•strengthen cross-sector working by building new partnerships and make new connections through informal yet informative networking events
•gain a holistic and cross-disciplinary understanding of how sustainable development is being practically applied across London
The week-long programme of events, this year from 15-19 April, aims to:
•Map current sustainability exemplars and issues in the industry
•Strengthen cross-sector collaboration and knowledge sharing
•Extend involvement of end-user and decision-maker participants
•Offer companies’ the opportunity to profile leadership in sustainable business
