Bringing together key policymakers and stakeholders, this seminar will focus on innovative approaches to designing and delivering course curricula in Higher Education – as HE providers face demand for more flexible modes of learning with rising student numbers and higher tuition fees.
It is scheduled to follow the June publication of the HEA report on Flexible pedagogies: preparing for the future, and includes a keynote presentation from the project's lead consultant, Professor Ron Barnett.
Delegates will discuss latest thinking on developing and implementing course curricula, including the use of technology in teaching and learning, employer engagement in course design, as well as in-course work-based learning opportunities. They will also consider the challenges raised by curriculum re-design, particularly the effects on student assessment and pedagogy.
Those expected to attend include registrars, deans of schools and course leaders and other senior staff within universities and colleges, alongside careers services, graduate recruiters and CPD professionals, providers of educational technology and students' unions.
