APM are pleased to be supporting an event led by the University of Bournemouth as part of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Festival for Social Science entitled “Putting social science into Project Management.” The event taking place on the 9th November at UCL’s new Olympic Park campus and focuses on the people and behavioural elements of project management.

This event is run by Karen Thompson and Paul Summers as part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science 2017, organised by Bournemouth University.

Recent research has challenged the prevailing view of project management as a technical activity. Our one day event will explore how research methods from social sciences have uncovered new understandings within the field of project management through seminar sessions, discussions and a poster exhibition.
