RICS BIM Scotland Conference 2013

This event has finished

Since the release of the Government Construction Strategy in May 2011, which includes a requirement of collaborative 3D BIM (Building Information Modelling) on all government projects by 2016, BIM has consequently become a buzz word across the built environment.

Held at the GCU BIM Centre of Excellence, BIM Scotland Conference has attracted a number of high profile speakers, government representatives, specialists and practitioners.
Alistair Johnson from Laing O’Rouke will be presenting a case study on BIM and public project procurement and how BIM maximises value and quality.

David Philp, Head of BIM Implementation, Cabinet Office will be discussing the Government’s Construction Strategy 2016 BIM objective; thus providing you with a clearer understanding of BIM and advice on the level of adoption that is required in Scotland.

Delegates will also get a chance to hear the Business Case for BIM from practices across Scotland, whereby they will demonstrate their application of BIM and assess the benefits and challenges an SME is faced with in implementing BIM.
