BSRIA awarded Investors in People

Posted: 31st January 2017

BSRIA is delighted to have been awarded the Investors in People (IiP) National Standard accreditation.

IIP is the standard for people management. It believes organisations succeed by realising the potential of their people. Based on 25 years of leading practice, the IiP Standard is underpinned by rigorous assessment which reflects the very latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to lead in any industry.

The IiP BSRIA report said that, among many other things, BSRIA’s senior management team was praised for its level of transparency during the IiP “journey” adding that this demonstrated that everyone at BSRIA was committed to embracing and responding to feedback. There is now a “cascade” of consultation between Business Managers and team members.

As part of this, the Brexit focus groups were commended as a great way of involving and engaging people across the business, as well as useful sources of information and feedback for senior managers.

Julia Evans, BSRIA’s Chief Executive, said: “This is excellent news for BSRIA and represents the gold standard in investment in people. I would like to thank the staff who led the process, especially our HR & Recruitment Officer and the HR Administrator, who worked hard and indeed gave something extra, to achieve this important and exciting result. This demonstrates teamwork at its very best. Open, honest and friendly discussions are clearly the order of the day.

This is certainly a moment in BSRIA’s history and demonstrates our commitment and focus – not only to staff and people management – but to quality, process and professionalism.

The IiP accreditation puts employees, best practice, quality work and thorough processes at the heart of its undertaking.

This fantastic news follows on from BSRIA being awarded both the ISO Certificate of Registration and the Cyber Essentials Certificate of Compliance at the end of last year.”
