CIC are seeking support from employers
Posted: 18th March 2013
CIC are seeking support from employers for a review of National Occupational Standards (NOS) and two new apprenticeship projects for 2013-2014.
- Review of Construction Contracting Operations Management NOS and SVQ qualification structures
- Review of Construction Senior Management NOS and NVQ/SVQ qualification structures
- New Level 2 apprenticeship for Chain People
- New Level 3 Technical Apprenticeship in Site Inspection
The NOS need to be kept up to date to reflect new industry practices relating to sustainability, energy use, low carbon and Building Information Modelling. In order to make our case to government we need to demonstrate employer demand from across the four home nations for our bid. You can help our bid by simply indicating your support for our projects by emailing pbehal@cic.org.uk
In addition to employer support we will also require nominations from employer/practitioners to join our working groups. Working Group members may need to attend approximately 3 or 4 review meetings between May and November 2013 at CIC offices. We would also be grateful if you could publicise the review to your sector contacts from across the four home nations.
For more information on the projects and how you can get involved please contact pbehal@cic.org.uk
