CIC launches BIM Regional Hubs
Posted: 1st August 2012
The Construction Industry Council is delighted to announce the launch of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) Regional Hubs in partnership with the Government’s BIM Task Group.
The eleven BIM Regional Hubs, which have been established throughout the UK, aim to raise awareness of the benefits of BIM and facilitate the adoption of BIM processes and working methods throughout the construction industry.
A series of sixteen free half day workshops entitled ‘A BIM Focus’ have been organised by CIC to take place this autumn, commencing on 25th September 2012 in Newcastle.
The workshops will feature presentations from CIC and BIM Task Group members who will explain the Government’s BIM policy and how the industry can engage with the new BIM Hubs. Local case studies will illustrate the experiences some organisations have had in implementing BIM, and a Q&A session will follow with members of the panel.
Attendees will be invited to network with fellow professionals, find out more about how the BIM Hubs will work and how they can get involved and shape its future operation.
