CIC supports the ‘Where’s Your Head At?’ campaign
Posted: 18th November 2018
An Open Letter to the Prime Minister signed by 50 business leaders, including CIC, has today called for mental and physical first aid to be given equal status under the Health and Safety Regulations.
Leaders from across business, education and the third sector have joined calls for the Government to prioritise its 2017 manifesto pledge to amend the Health and Safety Regulations so that workplaces are required to make provision for mental as well as physical first aid.
The Open Letter follows the delivery of a 200,000-strong petition to No. 10 Downing Street in October, which highlighted a groundswell of public support for the campaign.
The petition formed part of the ‘Where’s Your Head At?’ campaign, launched in May by Bauer Media UK, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England, and mental health campaigner, Natasha Devon MBE.
