CICAIR Launches New Website

Posted: 19th March 2019

CICAIR Limited, the body designated by the Secretary of State in England and Welsh Ministers in Wales to maintain and operate the Approved Inspectors Register has launched a fresh, new website at https://cicair.org.uk.

The completely redesigned website features a clean and intuitive user experience, improved functionality and enriched content areas to help Approved Inspectors, and the clients who wish to engage their services, find the information and guidance that they need easily.

The new website has been optimised for desktop and mobile devices so content can be accessed at home, in the office, on site or on the move. The website will be regularly updated as new guidance is published.

Whilst retaining all the essential information on the application and re-approval processes of CICAIR, the website has been expanded to provide a range of useful information about Approved Inspectors that people requiring building control services might need. There is also a new guidance page containing links to legislation, approved documents and government circulars as well as a new downloads page where key documents pertaining to Approved Inspectors can be quickly found.

Scott McLew, Chief Operating Officer & Registrar at CICAIR said: “We are thrilled to launch our new website which will help people better understand the role of CICAIR in regulating Approved Inspectors and to help them find the information they need quickly and easily. The new website has been designed with both Approved Inspectors and the public in mind and it provides a wealth of information to people who are considering using Approved Inspectors as the building control body on their projects.”

The new website is the culmination of the first phase of a larger project and the second phase will see enhanced functionality added to the map of Approved Inspectors and the newly-enhanced Approved Inspector search functionality will continue to be developed and improved.
