AI & The Future Workforce: Ensuring A Safe Transition

26th November 2026 | 09:45 AM

Join leaders and practitioners from across the built environment to explore how artificial intelligence is being integrated into the sector and what it means for the future of work, productivity and project delivery.

This in-person event will bring together experts from industry, government, academia and technology to examine how AI is moving from experimentation to practical application across planning, design, construction, infrastructure and asset management.

Speakers will examine how jobs and skills requirements are evolving, what this means for both current professionals and new entrants and how employers, educators and training providers can prepare for the transition.

The event will also offer an opportunity to learn from early adopters, share experiences across disciplines and discuss the future role of AI in shaping the built environment. Alongside presentations and panel discussions, there will be valuable networking opportunities with senior leaders and decision-makers from across the industry.

Bringing together a diverse range of voices is essential if we are to realise the benefits of AI while ensuring the built environment workforce remains resilient, adaptable and equipped for the future. We therefore hope you can join us and contribute your expertise to this important conversation.

The event is hosted by the Built Environment Futures Assembly (BEFA), supported by the Construction Industry Council and the Construction Leadership Council.
