Founded in 2007 by Foluke Akinlose MBE, the PRECIOUS Awards recognise and support women of colour in the UK business and work environment, and create role models for future generations to follow. The awards are an opportunity to celebrate the stories of these successful women.
Other PRECIOUS Award categories are: Business of the Year; Social Enterprise of the Year; Young Entrepreneur of the Year; Outstanding Woman in the Creative Industries and; Leadership.
Speaking following the announcement Danna said: “I am delighted and humbled to have been nominated for this prestigious award. I have been a long time admirer of Foluke and her work to inspire future leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs. It is absolutely fundamental to the success of women to have role models in industry. I will continue to work to support that aim in the construction sector.”
CIC Chief Executive, Graham Watts, commented on the nomination: “Danna is a most deserving nominee for this award. She is a committed and tireless advocate of the benefits of inclusion and diversity, in all its forms, in the construction industry and I warmly congratulate her on her nomination.”
