Posted: 13th June 2014
George Adams, past President of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and Engineering Director at SPIE UK, was yesterday formally appointed Chairman of the new CIC Green Construction Panel at the CIC Council meeting, with immediate effect. The term of office will run for three years.
Following the Council meeting George Adams said: “Sustainability is key to the social and economic well-being of people in the UK; incorporating rural, coastal and urban environments. This new initiative is a critical opportunity to bring together professional, industrial and academia expertise to collaboratively and openly develop strategies, proposals and learning to inform both Government, through the CIC structure, and generate collective and individual thoughts and ideas.”
Speaking of the appointment, Graham Watts, CIC Chief Executive said: “The Green Construction targets are a crucial part of the industrial strategy and George's leadership of a new CIC Green Construction Panel will be our conduit for contributing to this essential work. I warmly welcome George Adams’s appointment and I look forward to working with him in his new role.”
