IIRSM welcomes its new President

IIRSM is delighted to announce that Siobhan Donnelly SFIIRSM, became President of the Institute on 8 December 2015 at its Annual General Meeting. Siobhan takes over the reins from Peter Hall.
Siobhan is a specialist health and lawyer and founder and senior partner of her own legal practice in Belfast. She brings a wealth of experience in the public and private sectors to her role. As well as her involvement with the Institute she provides training to HSE, Councils, enforcing authorities and to members of the legal profession. She is also a lecturer, delivering courses to senior managers at the Construction Employers Federation, at Queen’s University Belfast and the National Irish Safety Organisation.
During her Presidency Siobhan will focus on improving member engagement, raising the recognition and profile of members and working with the Institute to spread the word that health and safety is a key part of risk management and essential to the wider business community.
Siobhan said: I am very much looking forward to working with the executive team to ensure that member engagement and governance remain a top priority for the Institute. One of my key goals is to ensure that everyone involved in work understands risk management and has access to the amazing support network that IIRSM can offer, by joining with no previous experience as an Affiliate Member.
Siobhan will be President for two years and is supported by incoming Deputy President, Andy Hawkes, CEO of THB UK Limited and Cardinus Risk Management Limited.
