Mentor names announced for Speed Mentoring event

Posted: 16th February 2016

The CIC 2050 Group together with Macdonald & Company have announced they are to hold a series of speed mentoring evenings beginning next month.

The first event will take place on the evening of Thursday 17 March, supported by Great Portland Estates (GPE), in the marketing suite of its Oxford House premises, which overlook GPE’s Rathbone Place and 73/89 Oxford Street developments, opposite the Crossrail station development for Tottenham Court Road.

During the course of the evening individual mentees will spend approximately 15 minutes with each of three (pre-assigned) senior industry figures who will answer questions about the industry, share and reflect on any challenges the mentee may be experiencing, or advise on career path development. This will be followed by an open networking session when mentees will have the opportunity mingle with all the mentors and each other.

The aim of the event is to provide people in the early stages of their career with the opportunity to learn from those who have knowledge and experience.

Its objectives are:

  • To encourage the transfer of knowledge from generation to generation;
  • To provide individuals in the early stages of their careers with access to leading experts;
  • To promote longer term mentoring.
