Adaptation & Resilience: Exploring Holistic Thinking and Collective Actions to Reverse Biodiversity Loss and Recover Nature

3rd December 2025 | 12:30 PM

12:30PM - 2:00PM

Balancing optimism with reality is essential for empowering collective actions to restore biodiversity loss and recover nature, our primary resource. Adopting a holistic understanding of nature and climate is also critical, as a changing climate disrupts ecosystems and natural processes, placing stresses and vulnerabilities upon landscapes, habitats and species.

This inter-disciplinary webinar will explore holistic and collective strategies to navigate these complex challenges, including how global commitments, local community knowledge and evidence-led technical skills can support positive nature-led solutions.  With a panel of experts combining innovation in research and practice, we will discuss key principles including measurable baseline data, integrating biodiversity within spatial planning and the crucial role of ecosystem services to health and society. From landscape scale restoration and monitoring, biodiversity-led food systems and nature-based solutions to natural heritage and community traditions in stewardship, the webinar will offer a comprehensive exploration of building healthy and resilient ecosystems.

SPEAKERS:

  • Morgan Taylor, Director at Greengage Environmental
  • Shradha Lama, Academic research in agro-forestry traditions and biodiversity at Cambridge University
  • Johanna Gibbons RDI, Founding Partner at J&L Gibbons
