Award for CIC East Midlands Chair

CIC are delighted to congratulate Maria Coulter, Chair of our East Midlands Regional Committee, on being awarded a Nottingham Post ‘Women in Business Award’. The award was specifically for “Women in Construction” which was a new award added by the Nottingham Post this year in the hope that celebrating women in the sector it would encourage other females to choose a career in the construction industry. The awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of female entrepreneurs and professionals; highlighting the achievements of a wide range of businesswomen from across Nottinghamshire. The awards took place in Nottingham on 23 November.

Maria, who has been chair of CIC East Midlands since 2014 said “I am thrilled to win this award, I was really excited when I found out that the Nottingham Post had added the Women in Construction category to their Women in Business Awards and to be the first winner is a great honour. I hope that this helps to raise awareness about the amazing opportunities there are in the industry and helps to attract the next generation of women in construction.”
