CIC and Buro Happold Trust host sixth successful Happold Medal Lecture

The Sixth Happold Medal Lecture took place on 26 November 2008. Provided by Patrick Bellew, Founding Director of Atelier Ten whose early career was very much influenced by Sir Edmund (Ted) Happold over 100 guests attended the lecture entitled ‘Engineering Sustainable Architecture’
Following the lecture Patrick was presented with the Happold Lecture Medal in recognition of his commitment to the application of low-energy and sustainable design within the built environment by Michael Dickson CBE, Chair of the Happold Trust and Lady Eve Happold.
Patrick is only the sixth recipient of the award, and follows such illustrious names as:
• Professor Sir Peter Hall (2007)
• Sir Howard Bernstein (2005)
• Tessa Tennant (2001)
• Amory Lovins (2000)
• Sir Crispin Tickell GCMG KCVO (1998)
