CIC runs successful Professional Development Programme

The highly successful CIC Professional Development Programme, an initiative which aims to develop the skills which employers are looking for in graduates entering the industry was delivered in both Leeds and London in June and July 2008. Graduates and undergraduates from a range of disciplines were in attendance including economics management, building surveying, property management, civil engineering, architecture and geotechnical engineering.
Attendees included a balance of male/female participants who came from both large multi-disciplinary companies and smaller professional practices.
The comprehensive programme which provided immediate and longer-term benefits to participants consisted of three separate modules:
• Health and Safety in Design
• Personal Development
• Presentation Skills
