Posted: 9th February 2022

CIC is delighted to welcome Professor Fiona Grant as chair of the newly reinstated CIC Scotland Regional Committee. The Committee had been dormant for a number of years but was refreshed by CIC at the end of last year.

Professor Grant is the Associate Principal, Student Learning Experience at Heriot Watt University and Director of Learning and Teaching in the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society.

Professor Grant is a chartered surveyor and has been heavily involved with her professional body The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), being the World Regional Chair for UK and Ireland 2013- 2019 and an elected member of the Governing Council until 2017.

Professor Grant said of her appointment, "I am really excited to be taking on the role of CIC Scotland Chair, bringing together expertise and insight from across the built environment sector to provide a united voice, it is a fantastic opportunity for us all to make an impact for the future."

The committee is now setting its aims and objectives for the coming year with a good representation from across CIC's Membership base.
