Code of practice (PAS 9980) now issued for Public Comment

The fire risk appraisal and assessment of external wall construction and cladding of existing blocks of flats – Code of practice (PAS 9980) has now been issued as a Draft for Public Comment (DPC).

The public consultation will last for a month and will close on Thursday 20 May.

You can download, read and comment on the draft on the Standards Development Portal using the following link: http://standardsdevelopment.bsigroup.com/projects/2020-01838

If you are a new user, you will need to register before you log in for the first time. Registration is free and only takes a couple of minutes.

Where possible, comments should be submitted by one person from your organization to ensure that no conflicting comments are submitted by members of the same organization and to avoid repetition.

Normally, CIC does not respond to BS or PAS consultations, leaving this to individual members’ technical expertise but if any member/s feel that a CIC response is important please let Graham Watts (gwatts@cic.org.uk) know as soon as possible.
