Diversitas Launches New Website to Champion Black Professionals in Construction
Posted: 8th May 2025
Diversitas is pleased to announce the launch of its new website following its formation as an umbrella body on 29th June 2023 under the auspices of the Construction Industry Council (CIC).
Diversitas is committed to promote and encourage a more diverse and increased leadership within CIC and the built environment industry from top black construction professionals.
The new platform serves as the digital home for Diversitas’ network, made up of the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers, BPIC Network, BAME Planners Network and Diversity Surveyors, providing a central hub for resources, news and events from Diversitas and our member organisations.
Diversitas Chair Jessica Taylor applauded the launch saying “Diversitas was created to drive representation for black leaders in the Built Environment. The new website will be instrumental in working towards these aims and sharing the work of our members. I am delighted with the end result of a user-friendly informative website”.
Diversitas Vice Chair Gail Royston also welcomed the site saying, “For too long, black construction professionals have been underrepresented at the highest levels. The Diversitas website reinforces our role as a vehicle for change – driving the built environment towards greater inclusion, visibility, and more diverse leadership”.
Explore the new website to learn more about our mission and discover how your organisation can partner with our work. Follow Diversitas on LinkedIn to stay informed, inspired, and connected as we champion top black construction professionals and reshape the future of our industry.
