Independent experts to review safety of construction materials
Posted: 21st April 2021
The Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick yesterday (20 April 2021) appointed former government chief construction adviser, Paul Morrell OBE to chair an independent panel, along with legal expert Anneliese Day QC, lead a review of the system for testing construction products.
The review, announced earlier this year, will examine how to strengthen the current system for testing construction products to provide confidence that these materials are safe and perform as marketed.
CIC will hope to provide an interface between members’ experts and Paul and his review team.
