New CEO for the Institution of Structural Engineers

The Institution of Structural Engineers is pleased to announce that following a rigorous selection process, Yasmin Becker has been appointed as the Institution’s new Chief Executive, to take over from Martin Powell’s fourteen-year tenure.
Yasmin will be joining us after having successfully led the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK since 2017. The Federation is a joint venture of three professional membership bodies that provides training, assessment and continued professional development for physicians in the UK and over 50 countries around the world.
Yasmin brings with her a wealth of experience in developing strategies, growing international partnerships, and delivering complex transformation. Her extensive career spans private, public and charity sectors. In recent years, she has held senior leadership roles within the health sector as well as holding trustee and non-executive roles.
More details will follow in due course. Yasmin will be taking up her appointment during early April.
