MBE for CIC Yorkshire & Humbers Stefanie Stead

CIC are delighted to congratulate former CIC Yorkshire & Humber Regional Chair Stefanie Stead on receiving an MBE in the Queens New Years Honours List for services to the ‘Architecture and the Construction Industry.’
Stefanie, director of Stead & Co architects, became the youngest CIC’s regional committee chair when she took up the post in 2012 and only recently step down from the position after six years.
Stefanie is a Chartered Architect and has worked across Yorkshire on a range of urban design, heritage, residential, retail and educational schemes. She sits on the RIBA Yorkshire Council and is a Regional Design Review Panelist for Yorkshire and Humber. Stefanie also teaches on the HNC Construction course at York College and has always been very passionate about enouraging the younger generation into the industry.
The industry has also been celebrated in the Queens New Years Honours with Bola Abisogun receiving an OBE for services to Diversity and Young People in the Construction Industry. Dr Jennifer Schooling received an OBE for services to Engineering and Digital Construction. John Pawson received a CBE for services and Design and Architecture. John Gibbon received a CBE for services to the Building and Civil Engineering Industry and Professor Hugh Griffiths received a OBE for services to Engineering
