PI Insurance survey
Posted: 24th March 2022
This survey has been developed with input from government and the answers given anonymously will provide invaluable data for government to understand the issues and to formulate policy to address them.
Specifically, questions 4 and 5 are about work that you may undertake in relation to Fire Risk Assessments. Question 6 refers to Publicly Accessible Standard (PAS) 9980, a methodology developed by the British Standards Institute for the fire risk appraisal of external wall (FRAEW) construction and cladding systems.
The outcome of this FRAEW will be used to inform Fire Risk Assessments of multi-storey, multi-occupied residential buildings and other types of buildings. Government is asking these questions to find out more about the work you do and to understand more about the capacity of those doing Fire Risk Assessments. This will help inform Government’s ongoing policy development in this area.
