Shaping the Future of Construction – Join the Conversation
Posted: 10th March 2025
The UK construction industry is at a crossroads. With 25% of the workforce retiring by 2030, we face a critical skills gap. The Construction Industry Council 2050 Group is committed to ensuring that we not only bridge this gap but also create a thriving, diverse, and future-ready workforce.
Lets Work Together
We’re inviting professionals, educators, policymakers and employers to meet us on March 24th, and explore how we can collaborate across the industry.
We want to:
- Connect with leaders and emerging talent
- Share insights on skills, sustainability, and digital innovation
- Collaborate on solutions to attract and retain future talent
- Highlight career pathways, including requalification and cross-industry transitions.
How We’re Taking Action
- Exploring the return of ‘Speed-Mentoring’ for Careers—a proven way to connect young professionals with industry leaders.
- Providing speaking and networking opportunities at sector wide events.
Get Involved
Let’s work together to make construction a career of choice for the next generation.
