Zed Pods win at British Construction Industry Awards
Posted: 10th October 2024
CIC would like to congratulate ZedPods on winning the Carbon Net Zero Initiative of the Year Award at the 2024 British Construction Industry Awards (BCIA)!
This recognition follows their recent achievement of the King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, which they received in May this year.
Their project, St Andrews House, is a social housing development of six apartments located in Cullompton, Mid Devon. ZedPods designed and delivered the project in collaboration with Mid Devon District Council, utilising their multidisciplinary team.
ZedPods’ dedication to sustainability is evident, with estimated savings of 10 tonnes of Carbon and 107,690 litres of water. They also take pride in employing modern methods of construction, using BIM 360 software to design modules that are predominantly manufactured in a factory environment. This approach was essential in making the St Andrews project a reality.
ZedPods is a CIC Corporate Affiliate, more details about joining CIC as a Corporate Affiliate can be found here.
