MHCLG Webinar: Strategy for the built environment professions, trades and occupations (call for evidence)

18th June 2026 | 10:00 AM

Join the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government for a webinar about the government’s call for evidence on the built environment professions, trades and occupations.

The call for evidence opened 20 May 2026 and will close on 12 August 2026: Call for evidence: Strategy for the built environment professions, trades and occupations - GOV.UK. It is designed to gather information about the key factors that influence how people work across all stages of the building lifecycle and covers all building types. This will inform development of a new strategy for the built environment professions, trades and occupations.

This is one of two webinars that will:

  • Explain the aims of the government's new long-term strategy for the built environment professions, trades and occupations.
  • Set out the purpose, scope, and structure of the call for evidence.
  • Take questions about the call for evidence.

This webinar is recommended for anyone with an interest in how people work in the built environment and shaping future reforms to skills, behaviours, culture and accountability.

The second webinar will cover the same material as this one and will be held 22 June 12:00-13:00 MHCLG Webinar: Strategy for the built environment professions, trades and occupations (call for evidence) June 22
