CIC websites now plant trees
Posted: 8th May 2008
In April CIC moved the hosting of our two main web services,www.cic.org.uk andwww.dqi.org.uk to a new dedicated server. Whilst we are all too aware of the impact buildings have on the environment we often think less about the substantial amount of energy used to run the computers, servers and networks which make up the internet.
To help offset the energy used to provide our web services CIC chose a host which invests in regional environmental projects. This means that when you next visitwww.cic.org.uk , or assess the design quality of your building with www.dqi.org.uk trees including English Elm and Wych Elm are being planted in Holyland Wood a community wood in Pembroke.
