CIC welcomes the decision to appoint Chief Construction Adviser
Posted: 19th August 2009
The Construction Industry Council (CIC) welcomed today’s announcement of the creation of a Chief Construction Adviser. The Chief Construction Adviser will serve as a means to co-ordinate construction policy across the government.
The development of this crucial role has been one that CIC has supported over recent months as a reflection not only of the importance of the construction industry but the vital role it will play in the reduction of carbon in construction.
Keith Clarke, Chairman of CIC said “The design and engineering of our built environment is not only vital to our economy, well-being and quality of life, but is also an essential contributor to decarbonising our economy. The role of the Adviser is absolutely essential and we welcome this commitment.”
